Framed in greenery and hydrangeas, this terrace layers bright colored texture over ample seating encircling a bold earthy fire feature to pull a modern eclectic home through to the outdoors. Comfort, play, and gathering guided our imagination for this outdoor sanctuary tucked into Midtown Manhattan.
About the Patio Oasis project
Designing this midtown terrace, we were drawn to materials that felt grounding, while leaning in to youthful and inviting texture and form. A space for gathering, game nights, and outdoor living, deep and ample seating surrounds a custom stone fire feature. The stone fire pit, a collaboration with Cooke Furniture, works with the landscaping to ground the space, allowing us to fill the in-between area with vibrancy in furniture and fabric selections. Lush landscaping wraps everything in green, softening the city around us and turning the space into a laid-back escape, still closely connected to home and stoking the energy of the city.
