The boerum hill project
A sun soaked corner atop a new-build in Brooklyn offered itself as a big blank canvas design project last winter. Central to the vision for the Boerum Hill Project was creating a soft and welcoming space, inviting sunlight, easy elegance, and the upbeat neighborhood below inside. Two merging art collections and a shared love of artful modernity guided the design elements from sun-lit corner to sun-lit corner.
About the Boerum Hill Project
Our work for this Boerum Hill project was to thoughtfully transform a "blank slate" brand new apartment into a home that felt layered, personal, and fully realized from day one. With abundant natural light, modern simplicity, and crisp white walls as the backdrop, we curated a bold and artful selection of furnishings, textiles, and objects to celebrate the distinct histories and personalities of the couple who now call it home.
Central to the vision for this project was creating a soft and welcoming environment that invited sunlight, easy elegance, and the energy of the neighborhood below indoors. As two art collections came together under one roof, pattern and color became important storytelling tools, bringing depth and individuality to each room. Artful, sculptural and soothing light fixtures maintain the space's signature glow even when dusk falls.
